7th grade students in Ms. Bere's classes explore the relationship between circumference and diameter to discover the value of pi using wikisticks! Ms. Bere was assisted by Mr. Jones, --both are Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teachers fellows. Mr Jones, from Berkeley county, led the students through a more thorough, algebraic explanation before the activity began to inspire the students to find a simpler way.
