TGIF!
We had another great week! We practiced fire drills, our K Kids participated in the day of caring, and we continued enjoying learning our colors by wearing a color a day! Just a few updates:
ROOMS--Have you joined? A step by step instruction guide has gone home. If you need help, call the front office or stop by!
Attendance--September is ATTENDANCE awareness month. We think it is SO important that we have our students here on time and ready to learn each day! If they are sick, of course use our reporting platform to send us a message where you can upload a drs. note immediately. Have questions about attendance or need help? Call Ms. Lisa at 304-728-9212.
Fundraiser--Our first fundraiser is up and running. it is SO simple, log in, add some e mails and send the folder back in and your child wins a prize. Participate by donating gift cards teachers can use to purchase instructional materials.
Volunteer Training: Our first training is Monday, 9/16 in our cafe from 5-6. We look forward to seeing you there.
School Safety--This i s a priority. You must report to the front door, have a valid photo ID, and sign in if you are coming into school Even if we see you daily we will check your ID. We want to keep students and staff safe!
Have a great weekend!

TGIF! We have had such an outstanding third week of school! The students are continuing to learn about our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) program that promotes positive behavior through teaching expectations. We believe if you want, teach it! Today we launched PBIS with our kick off assembly! We were even visited by our Panda Mascot! Ask your child what the expectations are in each area of the building. Ask them what the PAWS pledge is they state daily!
We also are launching Attendance Awareness month during the month of September. It is paramount your child comes to school on time and stays for the entire instructional day unless they are sick! We have new attendance incentives in place and you can always reach out to Mrs. Stuart our attendance clerk with any questions or concerns.
Have you joined our PTVO (Parent Teacher Volunteer Organization)? Our first meeting will be here on 9/9 at PJE Cafeteria. Come to hear more about how you can be a vital part of your child's education!
Mark Your Calendars:

Page Jackson Elementary Title 1 Family Math and Reading Night
Monday, May 13th 6-7pm
“Summer slide” is the tendency for students to lose some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year. Come and join us as we demonstrate fun games that families can do at home in reading and math. We will be serving pizza starting at 6pm until 6:30pm (or until gone). Families will then go around to the different reading and math stations. Each student must have an adult with them to circulate the reading and math tables. Page Jackson Elementary School students will receive a math manipulative bag and will be shown how to incorporate the materials at home.
Hope to see you soon.
